Snow in April

Our little patio was all set for enjoying some nice spring weather - then it snowed - a lot.

Glen's 35th Birthday

For Glen's birthday we threw him a party in our gutted condo - total construction zone, so it was pretty casual. The kids contributed by painting one of the walls. The old guy had a good time!

Calgary Zoo

Glen's brother came for a visit and while they did "guy stuff" I took Nicole and Carson to the zoo. Lotsa fun! And there was a baby giraffe!

St. Paddy's Day - adult version

Made it to Kensington Pub after my day out with the girls. The "big" girls had about a 4-5 hour head start on me, but I did my best to try and catch up! Highlights of the evening: meeting Napoleon Dynamite and Nat & Dayna pretending they were conjoined twins.

St. Paddy's Day - kid's version

During the day I took the girls out to experience "downtown life". We walked down 17th Ave (luckily not too many drunks out yet!) went for dinner with my friends at the Avenue Diner on Stephen's Avenue, did some shopping in TD Square, visited the turtles at the Devonian Gardens, and went for a trip up the Calgary Tower. Had tons of fun but was sooo exhausted I almost didn't make it for drinks with the ladies. I said ALMOST...

Brits on Tour

Friends from the UK came for a visit. We all went to the cabin for the weekend - went skiing at Panorama on Friday & Saturday then for a short hike to the Lussier Hot Springs. Lots of snow & laughs. Erin took the guys on to Fernie and Golden for more skiing.

Downtown living

The condo is finished and up for sale! We'll miss living so close to downtown, but may not miss Morgan's Pub....

Condo Reno - Lower Mt. Royal

We finally found a condo in a good location and went to work! We basically demolished the whole thing and started over. Glen worked hard and finished it in under 3 weeks. Check out the Sony Image station album to see the before and after photos.

Bond Party

Erin invited us to a Bond Party and we, of course, went all out. Major Anya Amasova, Dr. Holly Goodhead, and Dr. Christmas Jones. Even Pierce showed up.

Spare bedroom reno at the cabin

Glen decided to "practice" his renovation skills on one of the spare rooms at the cabin. Before: weird closet door in the entrance, yucky carpet, strange stucco finish on the walls. Glen gutted the room - walls came down, he built the new door in, and laid laminate flooring. Not exactly a relaxing weekend, but will be worth it!

Windermere, BC

Another weekend at the cabin on Lake Windermere. Lotsa snow!!

Nap Time

The guys are worn out from our hectic schedule and take plenty of naps.

At the Cabin

Got out of the city and spent some time at the cabin on Lake Windermere. The lake was frozen over and it was COLD.

Housewarming Party at Dayna & Paula's

Dayna & Paula purchased a beautiful home and invited all the rowdies to come break it in. It was a housewarming/multiple birthday party celebration, plus we got to meet the newest arrival to the group - little 3 week old Blake!

New Years 2007

New Years Party at Paula & Dayna's! Highlight of the evening: my Dad being presented with his autographed Rick Steeves picture. That guy drove us nuts in Europe - if Rick Steeves didn't mention it in his travel guide - it wasn't worth seeing! More slivovica was passed out to the unwary and the soviet hat was a big poker hit.

Dinner at Frenchie's

Missed my girls! Frenchie invited us over to her place for dinner and xmas gift exchange. Very good to see everyone again!

Home Sweet Home

Although the plane ride was 9 hours, we gained 7 hours coming back to Calgary - so we made it in plenty of time for presents and Christmas dinner. Everyone was thrilled that we had brought home some slivovica for toasts!
