The Devil in Slovakia

One day in Tesco I just "happened" to be walking by the chocolate section and noticed that the devil was there right between old St. Nick and Mary. I thought, ok, maybe leftover Halloween treats? But no, the other day in the mall, there with a very Pope-like Santa and a drag queen angel was the Devil!
Apparently it's some kind of tradition - Mikuláš, the Slovak visit of St Nick, accompanied by the Devil (čert) and an Angel (anjel).
